Ashtead Choral Society performs Mendelssohn's Elijah

In their 70th season Ashtead Choral Society will be performing one of the greatest oratorios ever written, Mendelssohn's Elijah.

Mendelssohn’s most endearing and embracing work is a vivid depiction of the prophet's dramatic life, expressed through thrilling musical storytelling, brilliant arias, and grand and vibrant choruses.

The concert will be conducted by Andrew Storey, with Kent Sinfonia and soloists Helen Meyerhoff (soprano), Susan Legg (mezzo), Adam Tunnicliffe (tenor), Phil Tebb (bass) and Lily Kemp (youth).
