Safety Measures

Please wear a suitable face covering when you visit the Halls, in line with government guidelines.

When seated in the auditorium you will be socially distant from other guests, and you may remove your face covering to enjoy food and drinks.

We have put a number of strict and comprehensive measures in place to ensure we create a safe environment for cinemagoers and staff. We ask that all visitors read these before coming to the Halls.

We’ve had some lovely feedback on social media since reopening.

Social Distancing

  • Please stay 2 metres apart from other visitors and staff throughout your visit. There will be clear signs throughout the venue to remind everyone.
  • There will be a one-way flow system in place. This will also be clearly signed.
  • Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • There will be a Social Distancing Champion to greet you when you arrive. If you have any questions about our new measures, please don’t hesitate to ask them.
  • In line with government guidelines, you are only allowed to sit next to people from your own household or those in your support bubble. In the cinema you will be seated at least 2 metres apart from other groups.

Toilets

  • Toilets will cleaned regularly
  • To enable safe social distancing, there will be fewer toilets and basins. A maximum of three customers at a time are permitted in the toilets.
  • Please ensure you continue to follow social distancing guidelines when using the toilets
  • All toilets are stocked with hand soap. Please ensure that you follow current hand washing guidelines after using our toilets. There will be signs detailing these.
  • To aid the safe flow of customers around the building we ask that, when possible, you use the toilets before entering the cinema screen to avoid extra journeys

Hand Sanitiser

We have put hand sanitiser dispensers throughout the venue. All visitors are asked to use hand sanitiser when entering the building.

Cleaning

Our entire building will be deep cleaned before we reopen. On top of our already high cleaning standards, regular and particular attention will be paid to touch points throughout the venue. All cinema screens will be thoroughly cleaned after each film is shown. Please help us by avoiding touching anything unnecessarily and using the bins provided for your rubbish.

Ticketing

Tickets will be available to book in advance on our website, on the phone or in person at Dorking Halls. We are currently not accepting cash payments, so please use card or contactless if you pay in person.

To avoid disappointment, we encourage all customers to book in advance when possible as there will be reduced seating available.

Seating Plans

We have updated our seating plans to ensure that you can safely social distance while watching your film. For the safety and comfort of fellow filmgoers, please ensure you remain in your seat for the duration of the film.

Film Times

Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the advertised film start time.

Film start and end times will be staggered to allow visitors plenty of space in the foyer and cafe/bar area to safely enter and exit. Additional cleaning time will be added between films.

Physical Distancing

We have added Perspex screens at our box office and bar to enable physical distancing.

  • Our cafe/bar is open for takeaways and those using the cinema
  • Government guidance now states that face coverings are compulsory for customers purchasing food or drink to take away from the cafe
  • Our cafe seating area will be closed
