The Deepdene: A Landscape Rediscovered - taking place at Fetcham Park House

Join local author Alexander Bagnall at the impressive Fetcham Park House as he releases an exciting publication detailing the rich history of the owners of Deepdene, as well as the recent unearthing of The Deepdene Trail.

The trail was created as part of a £1million Heritage Lottery Funded project from April 2015 to March 2018. The project restored and reconnected the historic Deepdene estate, involving the local community in the process through activities, volunteer work and digital interpretation. The book launch will provide an opportunity to hear about the astounding history and reawakening of The Deepdene from the author himself.

The Trail is managed by Mole Valley District Council and supported by volunteers and a range of partners. There have been over 30,000 visitors since it opened in September 2016 and, with up to nine miles of paths to explore, there are plenty of surprises and new views to discover. Alexander Bagnall has overseen these efforts to rescue the surviving remnants of the Deepdene as part of his role within Mole Valley District Council.

Tickets are priced at £5 and your ticket value will be redeemable against a copy of the book on the night (£15), as well as a free drink and some light refreshments. We only have facilities to take cash for the books on the night.
