The final concert of this year's LHMF season includes Elgar's The Music Makers which seems like an Elgarian 'hundred best tunes', recalling many of his great works, including most notably his Nimrod variation, as he sets words by Arthur O'Shaughnessy about the loneliness and fulfilment in the life of composers - the Music Makers, the dreamers of dreams. George Dyson's three simple and effective Songs of Praise complete the picture for what we all hope will be another memorable Festival.
